Deputy CFO

Date: June 2024.

The Opportunity

For over 25 years, AIDA has protected the right to a healthy environment by using the power of the law to fight for justice and ensure a sustainable future for Latin America and the Caribbean. The time is now for AIDA to help address the biodiversity and climate crises we confront and influence the transition from fossil fuels to a clean energy economy that protects human rights.

For this, AIDA seeks a skilled and visionary, bilingual Deputy CFO to join its leadership team.

This position presents a unique opportunity to join an exceptional organization at a key moment. Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, we aspire for the Deputy CFO to transition into the role of CFO for all of AIDA’s international operations within a 1-2 year timeframe.

This leadership role is important and transformative. As AIDA continues to evolve, grow and deliver critical support to protect the environment and people’s health, the Deputy CFO will help ensure fiscal efficacy, accuracy and reporting; establish and monitor international financial and accounting systems as AIDA opens additional offices in Latin America, monitor and invest diverse income streams, and enhance systems and collaboration across our diverse organization of 50+ team members working in more than ten countries of the Americas.

As a US-incorporated 501(c)3 organization with multinational operations and a budget of more than five million dollars with expected continued growth, AIDA’s level of complexity and opportunities demand the talents of a financial leader who can bring both vision and innovation.
