Estefanía González

Program Director

Estefanía González is AIDA's Program Director, working from Santiago, Chile. She holds a degree in Geography from the University of Chile with a postgraduate degree in Territory and Public Policy. She holds a Master of Science in Risk and Resource Governance from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Estefanía has extensive experience leading environmental programs and campaigns in Latin America from civil society and participating in key multilateral processes for the protection of nature and people. She has worked on various issues—such as climate change, biodiversity, oceans, indigenous rights, and others—with a strong focus on public advocacy and strategic communication at the national, regional, and international levels. Estefanía teaches postgraduate courses in environmental governance and environmental theory and policy at the Heidelberg Center for Latin America of the University of Heidelberg.
