Andrea Rodríguez Osuna

Andrea Rodríguez Osuna was our senior attorney for the Climate Change Program. Andrea is a Bolivian lawyer with a Master’s in Environmental Law from Stockholm University and a Master’s in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, Sweden. She has worked and taught in Bolivia, Denmark, Ireland and Sweden, where she gained experience in policy development funding for climate change, sustainable development and access to information, and public participation and access to justice in environmental matters.

Haydée Rodríguez

Haydée Rodríguez is a Costa Rican attorney specializing in environmental law. She has a master’s in public administration in environmental science and policy from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, New York. She has worked for the past 10 years in NGOs and the public sector on issues related to the right to water and sanitation, marine spatial planning, and public participation and environmental advocacy. Haydée was part of the AIDA Marine Protection team.

Carlos Lozano Acosta

Carlos Lozano Acosta is a Colombian lawyer and was our senior attorney for the Freshwater Preservation Program. He has an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oregon, United States, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar. He has worked as a researcher and consultant for Colombian and international NGOs as well as cooperation agencies on issues of public law. He also has participated on teams providing technical assistance to Colombia’s Ministry of Environment on environmental licensing and hazardous waste management.

Lisa Nessan

Lisa Nessan is the Office Manager for the International Program at Earthjustice. She shares AIDA’s administrative responsibilities with her counterpart, Tania Paz, in Mexico, and assists with AIDA’s communications and fundraising responsibilities. Lisa holds two BAs in Environmental Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Lisa has varied experiences volunteering, and working with communities in Mexico, South America, and the Middle East whose livelihoods and human rights are intricately tied to the natural environment.

Ariel Pérez Castellón

Ariel Pérez Castellón is Bolivian environmental lawyer and was part of the AIDA’s Freshwater Preservation Program. He received a law degree from the Universidad Católica de Bolivia and specialized in metropolitan environmental management and oil & natural gas law at the University of Buenos Aires. He is a professor of environmental and hydrocarbons law. Over the past 15 years, he has worked at national and international NGOs and as an independent researcher on issues related to extractive industries, the rights of indigenous peoples, and good governance in public policy in Bolivia and Argentina and on regional projects in Andean countries.

Ana María Mondragón

Ana María Mondragón is a fellow of the Human Rights and Environment Program. A Colombian, she works with AIDA from the Bogotá office. She received a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, where she was part of the research group on social justice, business and human rights. She has worked as a visiting professional at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and as a legal consultant at the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL).

Aída Navarro Barnetche

Aída Navarro is based in Ensenada, Mexico and is AIDA's human resources advisor. A native of Mexico, she has extensive experience coordinating conservation projects in the Baja California Peninsula, including international outreach and media campaigns to promote marine conservation since 2002. Aída holds and MSc in Environment and Development from the University of East Anglia and a B. A. in International Trade from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

Valentina Raad Rincón is Colombian and AIDA's Fundraising Associate, working from Panama.
