Magie Rodríguez

Magie Rodriguez is Costa Rican and AIDA's attorney with the Ecosystems Program, working from San Jose. She has a degree in Law, with a focus on environmental law, from the University of Costa Rica. There she assisted with research on environmental law and agronomy, and developed various extracurricular activities related to marine biology. Through AIDA she contributes to the conservation of the marine and coastal environment of Latin America, especially in the conservation of key ecosystems such as coral reefs. 

Dena DeBry

AIDA Staff

Founded in 1998, AIDA is a nonprofit environmental law organization that works across international borders to defend threatened ecosystems and the human communities that depend on them. 

Jennifer Roberti

Jennifer Roberti is a former AIDA attorney that collaborated with the Climate Change Program. Jennifer obtained her Law Degree (LL.B.) from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Masters in Law (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley, where she specialized in Energy and Clean Technology Law. 

Kim Winters

Kim Winters coordinates AIDA’s individual donor fund development. She has 25 years of experience in fund and program development, and communications campaigns that benefit values-based causes in environmental conservation, education, justice, and community-building. She holds a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a B.A. in Political Science from Guilford College.

Laura Yaniz Estrada

Laura Yaniz Estrada was part of AIDA's communications team. She holds a master's degree in Journalism and Public Policy from the Centro de Investigación y Docencias Económicas (CIDE). She holds a degree in Media and Journalism from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and a diploma in National Security from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). She is interested in new narratives and environmental security.

Rodrigo da Costa Sales

Rodrigo da Costa Sales is a Brazilian attorney that worked in AIDA’s Human Rights & Environment Program. He has a masters in International Human Rights Law from the University of Notre Dame. He has worked at the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and with various organizations dedicated to the protection of victims in Brazil. 

Tania Noguera

Tania Noguera is AIDA’s Communications Manager/Development Associate and works out of the San Francisco, California office.  In these roles Tania oversees and implements AIDA’s campaigns, outreach, marketing, and events to inform the public about AIDA’s work.  Tania's forward-looking management of AIDA’s communications team and her work in the development department strengthens the community-based support on which AIDA depends.  Originally from Ecuador, Tania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. She is deeply committed to protecting indigenous and local communities from environmental harm and is honored to contribute to AIDA’s work throughout the Americas.

Verónica Muriel Carrioni

Verónica Muriel Carrioni is a Colombian attorney that was part of AIDA's Freshwater Preservation Program. Veronica has an LL.M in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis and Clark Law School in Oregon, United States, where she was part of the International Law Clinic. She has experience negotiating international multilateral environmental agreements. She is also well versed in the practice of environmental, mining, and hydrocarbon law.
