Tayná das Chagas Lemos graduated in with a degree in law from Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil. She was an intern with AIDA's Program on Human Rights and the Environment. In particular, she worked on international litigation against the Belo Monte Dam.

Anayantzin Robles Méndez y Hernández is AIDA's Regional Operations and Administration Manager, as well as Head of the Mexico Office, working from Mexico City. She is Mexican and holds a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In the field of civil society organizations, Anayantzin has taken courses and workshops on topics such as management and administration, comprehensive security for human rights defenders, as well as finance. She has significant work experience in the private sector, in several areas (logistics, purchasing, finance, administration, technology and projects), as well as knowledge and achievements in management, executive and high-level positions in administration and finance.

Fernanda Núñez Espinosa is Colombian and AIDA's Visual Coordinator, working from Medellín. She graduated from the National University of Colombia, and has worked for Colombia State entities such as the District Department for Women and the Administrative Department of the Civil Service. Janet Ávila is the Executive Assistant in AIDA's Mexico City Office. She has a degree in graphic design, specializing in advertising and media, from the Universidad de Londres in Mexico City. For 20 years, Janet was the executive assistant for the Mexican Association of Plastic Surgery. She also has experience in corporate identity and event organization.

María José González-Bernat is director of AIDA's Ocean Program. She works from Bogotá. María José is a biologist with a Masters in Marine Science from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and a Ph.D. in Governnace from the University of Western Australia. She has experience in the conservation and management of marine ecosystems, climate change, marine-coastal governance and policies, as well as the effective management of marine protected areas. She has worked with non-profit organizations and in Guatemala's public sector, primarily in research and issues related to marine protected areas.

Andrés Pirazzoli works as part of AIDA's Climate Change Program from Santiago, Chile. He is an attorney from the University of Chile and holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Law and Natural Resources from the University of Oregon, United States. Andrés has worked with the Chilean NGO FIMA and previously supported AIDA in the development of a regional strategy to confront climate change. He led a team of experts that advised member countries of the Independent Association of Latin America and the Caribbean (AILAC) in the adoption of the Paris Agreement. He is an expert in carbon pricing instruments and international climate negotiations. His main interests are the design of legal and participatory tools for sustainable development and climate compatibility.

Emilia Carrara is AIDA's Director of Strategy, working from Mexico City. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Emilia has experience in environmental research with a focus on Tropical Ecosystems, and has collaborated as a research assistant both in the academic and non-profit sector. She combines her strong scientific background and work experience in the organizational and managerial areas to support environmental protection strategies.

Daniel Iglesias Márquez is AIDA’s Human Rights and Environment Fellow. He works from the Mexico City office. Daniel studied law at the Univeristy of Colima, México. He holds a specialty in Human Rights, Governance and Peace Culture from the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain; as well as a Masters in Environmental Law and a Doctorate in Law from the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, also in Spain. Daniel has worked with international organisms, in NGOs and research centers. His interests include human rights, international environmental law, international criminal law, and the link between business and human rights.
